ORIZZONTI participate in TRANS ARTS TOKYO.
From October 2012, a new art center in Kanda, Tokyo will start to move. Using all 17 floors above ground and 2 floors below ground of building 11 which used to belong to Tokyo Denki University, 16 genres including contemporary art and design, and approximately 200 creators will gather together in Kanda.
TRANS ARTS TOKYO is a prologue to the creation of a “Kanda Community Art Centre” in the city of Kanda.
Going beyond genre, community, generation, and awareness, a wide variety of people will come together in the continual development of an art project which shares memories and expectations for the future.
In the Art Affair Tokyo Lab#001 at 4floor, ORIZZONTI makes an installation that is titled “Add more jewellery to your life”. Audiences can participate in making it. And lecture and talk event are planned there.

 


 

About Art Affair Tokyo#001:

Art Fair Tokyo is gearing up for their 8th consecutive year in operation. This highly anticipated event will commence from the 22nd through the 24th of March 2013 and will be held at the Tokyo International Forum.
In development this year, “Art Affair Tokyo Lab”, a pre-fair event organized to help kindle and to energize the following main event. This pre-fair event will not only assist in augmenting Art Fair Tokyo 2013, but is also intended to draw attention to the Japanese art scene and what makes it unlike any other.

The former Tokyo Denki University Campus will provide the stage for “Art Affair Tokyo Lab” and will hold various workshops, lectures and unique exhibitions that fuses the many facets of the creative industry with an optimistic approach in exploring new possibilities in art.
